Matevž Pezdirc.

​Matevž Pezdirc has been with Eurojust since July 2011 and was appointed Head of the Secretariat to the European Network of contact points for the investigation and prosecution of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes in May 2013.

 

Before he joined Eurojust, Mr Pezdirc was the Head of the Criminal Law Unit at the Department for International Cooperation and International Legal Assistance of the Ministry of Justice in Slovenia. Prior to this, he served as a Counsellor for Justice and Home Affairs at the Slovenian Permanent Representation in Brussels, worked with the Constitutional Court in Slovenia, and with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in The Hague. He holds a Master’s Degree in Public International Law, with International Criminal Law Specialisation, from Leiden University.
